Liyla and the Shadows of War

Liyla and the Shadows of War is a game about war that tells a true story of life (and death) in the Gaza Strip. You play the head of a family who must try to protect his wife and daughter.

You control the main character of the story in a few different ways. Sometimes you move from left to right on the screen. Other times you have to solve small puzzles involving hiding or pushing certain items around the setting. And lastly, there are times when you need to make decisions.

The story in Liyla and the Shadows of War is quite short and, unlike what usually happens in videos games, it doesn't have a particularly happy ending. After all, it's a game with the goal of showing the reality of armed conflict ... and that's what it does.
